Finding Inspiration
Have you had a difficult time finding inspiration?

I find that at times in my life finding inspiration can be a challenge. In those times I tend to take my eyes off my goals. When my eyes are no longer fixed on my “Vision for my Life”, I can become discouraged and lose motivation altogether.
Sounds dreary right? It is. However, it doesn’t have to stay that way. You can overcome what feels like the quicksand of motivational loss. You can be inspired once again and be lifted out of the pit of “despair” or “discouragement”.
You will need to get on a different path. Call it the “Warriors Path for Finding Inspiration” or whatever catchy phrase helps you.
Here are a few steps you can take…
Finding Inspiration
Step 1: Come to the End of Yourself
The first step in finding inspiration is to get to the end of yourself. Once you recognize what you are doing is not helping you anymore, you will be more apt to find a new path of discovery. At the beginning of that new path is where you will find inspiration.
Step 2: Get around good people
I have been trying to find inspiration to go to the gym for years. It was when I met some people at the gym who had similar struggles to me that I began to become inspired. It wasn’t their struggle that inspired me. It was their motivation. They hit their goals because they didn’t give up. Their “stictuitiveness” is what propelled them. That meant, for me, that I could have hope in achieving my own goals.
Step 4: Seek out Accountability
You will only succeed at what you hold yourself accountable to. I recently completed a doctoral degree and it required me finding lots of help. For me, getting my doctorate required that I have deadlines, proofreaders and editors that helped me understand what I needed to do to succeed. With their help, and I mean a lot of help, I succeeded. You can too. Get some people you trust to be honest with you on the journey and invite them to be honest with you. If you do that you will succeed.
Summary
You can do this. You got this. You can get to your goals. You will need to consider the sacrifices you are willing to make and make them… and you will succeed.
